A hunger for
learning more.
To me, design is like a giant, complex Rubik’s cube where there are infinite problems and solutions to each — all equally exciting and thought-provoking.  Designing for people of all sorts of backgrounds and abilities has helped me broaden my horizons and makes me excited to be able to learn something new each day.

I’m excited to be in a field where it feels that I am always learning and that makes design so rewarding to me.

How I
originated
I graduated from University of California, Irvine in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.  However, I found myself feeling dissatisfied and not finding that field as engaging or interesting as I once did.  I transferred my passion for solving problems from coding to design, where I feel more engaged with users and feel that my individual contributions have more impact.

From then on, I participated in Design-a-Thons, design club activities, and freelance design products from varying fields like web3, music, and culinary!
"To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life."
- The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
To truly experience all things -- small or big -- is what gives fulfillment in life. This quote has always been stuck in my head ever since watching this movie. Aside from using it in my everyday life, I'd like to think that it can also be easily applied in design.

To understand what others have thought, to see what others have seen, and to feel what others have experienced. Understanding these things and utilizing them to better design are all very core aspects of design. That is what I believe brings me the most enjoyment and fulfillment in this field.
